From Dan Myers:
“Members and their families drove from places as distant as Allentown, Danbury and Syracuse to see old friends and have an informal get together aboard the Stourbridge Line’s “Pocono Foliage Express” on Sunday October 10, 2010. The railroad went out of their way to accommodate the society by reserving seats for us in their freshly-restored CNJ open-window coach replete with brand new blue velvet seats. Our train operated push-pull style with a Canadian built FP-7 in Pennsylvania decor on the point and and the line’s rare 1949 BL-2 on the back end. A good time was had by all! We will be polling the members later in the year to see if there is sufficient interest to justify a formal outing or “lunch train” at Arkville, Honesdale or perhaps another excursion line in 2022.”
