We hope that everyone has been enjoying their summertime activities as the month of August rapidly draws to a close. This brings to mind that our 62nd Annual Convention will take place at the Otterkill Country Club in Campbell Hall on the last full day of summer, just 4 short weeks away.
As a reminder, since we will need to provide the Otterkill with the number of dinner attendees 10 days prior to the convention, we have asked you to mail in your reservations by Friday September 5, less than two weeks from now. Should you miss that mailing date, please send an email to: convention@ontarioexpress.org by Wednesday September 10th; you can then make payment at the door when you check in. Please be advised that once the Society provides Otterkill with the number of dinner attendees we will be charged based on that total, even if there are fewer diner attendees on the day of the Convention
If you cannot stay for dinner, you can still enjoy all of the other convention activities for just $20. That can be done on the day of the convention without any prior notice.
The theme of Steam Power and Passenger Service During the O&W’s Heydey will be celebrated with prototype and modeling programs, plus displays of models and memorabilia. This year’s convention will allow more time for attendees to view the various displays as well as to converse with fellow members than has been possible in previous years.
