Please join me in celebrating the newest “Member of the Year” recipient!
The 2024 John Hobbs Chryn Member Of The Year Award goes to none other than long-time Member Kenneth L. Hojnacki!
Ken first became a Member of the Ontario & Western Technical & Historical Society around 1970 and subsequently wrote many articles and lent many photos to their Observer publication. Ken then became a Member of the Ontario & Western Railway Historical Society, Inc. and has remained very active over the years.
In the last few years Ken started a series on the Ontario Express website entitled “Owen’s Footprints” and has written 32 articles! He also contributed to the 2023 Observer, “Our Favorite O&W Stories.”
I want to personally thank Ken for his contributions and friendship over the years. He is an absolute pleasure to work with and his research and insight on the O&W is amazing.
He now joins an elite group of members whose contributors have helped perpetuate the history of the O&W and keep it’s memory alive for future generations.
