I just wanted to send a quick update and some great news from Peter Brill. Pete will indeed be doing a series of articles on this site under the title of “Scranton Division Nuggets!”
I have some other news from Peter as well that I need to share with you regarding his Scranton Division Book Series. It is as follows:
Volume I, O&W’s Scranton Division, A Late Arrival Shakes Things Up covers 1890-1909. This book has been out for about a month and a half now and is available though the O&WRHS. I believe the cost is around $60 but not positive. I have reached out to the sales team but I can’t confirm this. These are the upcoming books that Pete will be publishing:
Volume II, O&W’s Scranton Division, From Coal Drags to Fast Freights covers 1910-1939. This book is almost done and will be published next month. This book will be about 250 pages.
Volume III, O&W’s Scranton Division, Never Give Up Until the Money Runs Outcovers 1940 to early post-abandonment. This book is well along, about 180 pages at present, and will hopefully follow a couple months after volume II.
