From our President, Jeff Otto:
Well, we did it. We were able to move out of the old archives space before the February 1 deadline — thanks to the exhausting hard work of all the volunteers, and to the additional generosity of two members. It required 10 truckloads.
The following members (listed alphabetically) helped at least one day (with critical preparation and/or actually moving things), with many helping multiple days (my apologies if my mental clutch slipped and I left someone out. Jeff Otto):
Bob Earle
John Forni
Bill Grohoski
Russ Hallock
Ray Kelly
Henry Kramer
Leonard Mercilliot
George Moore
Dan Myers
Carl Ohlson
Jeff Otto
Dan Paashaus
Dan Pauley
Irene Simpson
Rich Simpson
Kurt Zillies
Tom Zoufaly
In addition, non-members Matt Kierstead and Andy Bell helped (two days each)
On the first moving day (Friday, January 20), Dan Myers rented (and generously paid for personally) a second 26-foot U-haul truck so we could simultaneously load and unload two such trucks, which enabled us to haul four loads that day.
On our last moving day (Saturday, January 28), Tom Zoufaly, owner of Art Installation Design, very generously provided two trucks (with lift gates), two drivers, and a helper from his company. Both the equipment and the expertise of his men were a very-productive and welcome help to our volunteers so we could finish the move smoothly and on time.
My sincere and hearty thanks to all who helped.
Although everyone was busy, a few photos were taken.
