As an admonishment often used by hikers goes: take only memories, leave only footprints. The O&W is gone and only footprints remain on the landscape. Those with first hand memories of the railroad are few now; only the paper trail left behind remain as Owen W’s footprints. In this section, I will follow Owen’s footprints through paper records, online resources and photos to see what Owen would have seen when he walked the right-of-way of the O&W.
