Digging Deeper With Doug Ellison

Editor’s Note: Ok I have to be honest here, I don’t think I have ever met Doug in person, but I have corresponded with him many times over the years (probably the late 90’s) and I know very well he has a wealth of knowledge about the O&W. He wrote several articles for the “Old Website” and has written two already for the Ontario Express site. We have been entertaining the idea about starting a series for about a week now and I was surprised when Doug got back to me so fast and not only said he wanted to continue as a “Series” but had a cool name for it which is “Digging Deeper With Doug Ellison” and I think it’s perfect! We resurrected two older articles from many years ago, “The Last Day of the O&W” and “Northern Division Roots” and they are now on this site. The latter article had to be recreated from scratch as it was done in the days before .pdf’s so if you haven’t read it, it’s a must read as it tells an exciting story of Doug’s (and his family’s) connection to the O&W.
