The Erie’s Greenwood Lake Line
by Hans Segboer
As promised, the Ontario E-xpress Newsletter will be dedicated to bringing you new and exciting material. An example of this is the video that was just posted to our Newsletter Site at OntarioExpress.org. This was the Powerpoint Presentation given at the September 4, 2015 O&WRHS Membership Meeting. It was given by local Historian Hans Segboer on the Erie’s Greenwood Lake Division North of Pompton Junction to Greenwood Lake and also includes the Ringwood Branch which serviced the Ringwood Iron Mines.
Over the years, many of our Members, that do not live in the Middletown Area and have never had the chance to make any of our monthly meetings or other events, have asked if we could possibly record any of these programs and post them somewhere. Well, now we have a place to do this and we are very proud to present this to you! We hope it is the first of many.
Many Thanks to Hans Segboer for his excellent presentation and to Steve Porter for bringing his video equipment and recording this for the Ontario E-xpress!
